Databases Bioethics

All of these databases are accessible via Blackboard.

 

EBSCO – access to full text databases, including Academic Search Complete, Humanities International Complete, and Religion and Philosophy Collection.

  

ETHXWeb - ETHXWeb is a bibliogrpahic (not full text) database created and maintained by Georgetown University's National Reference Center for Bioethics Literature. It has journal and news articles, book chapters, and laws related to bioethics and professional ethics. ETHXWeb will have citations that CINAHL and PubMed will not have and give you a different perspective.

  

Issues and Controversies - Up-to-date and objective information on the most hotly debated topics of the day. A great place to get started.

  

Oxford Reference Online - Contains the searchable full-text from over 100 dictionaries and subject reference works published by Oxford University Press.

  

Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy - An authoritative, peer-reviewed online encyclopedia of philosophy maintained by Stanford University.
